All About Grange Primary Academy
A very warm welcome to Grange Primary Academy. We are a one form entry primary school in the market town of Kettering in Northamptonshire.
Our school was the first new school built in Kettering after World War II, opening in 1956 as Grange Community School, with Mr Desmond Fursey as it's first Head Teacher. He remained at the school for twenty years until his retirement in 1976.
Grange Community School joined the United Learning Academy Trust in 2013, the largest education charity trust in the country which aspires to ensure that everyone in the organisation, children, parents, staff and community can be the very best they can be. Since then, under its new name of Grange Primary Academy the school has gone from strength to strength and we were thrilled to be graded good in all areas when we were inspected by OFSTED in March 2019.
The school has benefited from a recent £1 million renovation programme. Classrooms are modern, providing an excellent learning environment for children. The school also has extensive IT facilities, a full size sports hall, seperate assembly and canteen hall, an Imagination Hub, an on site Forest School and two amazing playgrounds.
