At Grange Primary Academy we believe that everyone is a leader, especially our children. As a result we have a comprehensive programme of student leadership roles and responsibilities. These include;
- Junior Leadship Team
- Digital Leaders
- School Parliament
- Sports Leaders
- Road Safety Heroes
- Reading Leaders
- Class Ambassadors
We are also actively involved in the United Learning Primary Student Leadership Programme in social action leadership programme for students in Year 5 and Year 6 in partnership with We (Free the Children). The programme consists of a Student Leadership Training Day, a project back in school and a graduation ceremony.
Our pupils are invited to attend the Student Leadership Conference in November at one of four schools in the United Learning. The pupils will spend the day working together looking at:
-what qualities make a good leader
-their leadership methods
-public speaking
-how to empower others to be leaders of change in their communities.
Children are then tasked with running a leadership project back in our school. They will prepare a presentation about their project that they will present at the Graduation ceremony, at Barclays HQ in either Manchester or London.
