As an academy, Grange Primary Academy is independent of the local authority but is still subject to the usual checks and inspections. It receives regular Ofsted inspections and is accountable to a Local Governing Body (LGB). The LGB works with the Head Teacher to ensure that standards at the academy are constantly improving.

It is also responsible for setting policies on matters such as admissions and behaviour. The LGB consists of representatives from the staff (both teaching and non-teaching) and members of the local community. The academy is responsible for appointing staff and parent representatives and The United Learning Trust is responsible for recruiting the other members of the LGB.

The Chair of our LGB is Kevin Marchand. To write to our Chair of Governors please use the address below:

I am married to Val and have three grown up children and six grandchildren. I have lived in Northamptonshire for most of my life.
