Nurturing achievement and aspiration in the heart of the community

Welcome to Grange Primary Academy

Head Teacher's Welcome

Chris Latimer (1)On behalf of my colleagues, our Pupils, Parents, Governors, and United Learning, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website. Whether you are an existing pupil, current or prospective parent, or someone who would like to come and join our wonderful staff, I invite you to take a few minutes to explore the site and learn more about the exciting opportunities that our school offers.

Grange Primary Academy is a very special place in which to work and learn. This was recognised by Ofsted Inspectors in March 2019 when they judged us to be a Good School. However you choose to judge a school, we believe that this is a special place to learn and grow.  We are very fortunate to have dedicated staff who all work hard to ensure that our children feel safe, secure and are provided with a range of exciting and challenging opportunities to fulfil their potential in all areas of the curriculum and beyond so that every learner at Grange Primary will be the best that they can be.  All of our adults have the higest of expectations of all the children in their care, in their behaviour, work, attendance and punctuality.

When your child starts their learning journey at Grange Primary Academy, we ensure they are supported every step of the way to become successful learners.  We want our children to be happy and inspired by everything that they experience in our school

At the heart of all we do are the Grange values which underpin our exciting curriculum; forward thinking with strong elements of traditional learning.

We want all our children to look back at their time at Grange Primary Academy as one of challenge and hard work but also as a time when they  achieved highly, had fun with their friends and became the very best they could be.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school and will be proud to show you more of what we offer, introducing you to the wonderful children who make Grange such a special place in which to learn.

Mr C J Latimer

Today we celebrate the magic of words, Where every child is a poet, Where their imagination can soar To distant lands, to magical places, Or simply to what they see each day. Poetry comes in many forms A rhyme, a riddle, a tiny haiku, A story in a single breath, Or lines that spill from their hearts, Exciting and new. Some write of castles and dragons, Others of playgrounds and friends, There’s no limit to what they create, And no end to the joy it sends. In every classroom, voices bloom, Shaping thoughts in their own way, For poetry lives in every child, And today, on National Poetry Day, We celebrate how they all shine. So here’s to wild imagination, And the everyday things they see To words that dance on every page, And to the poets that Grange students are proud to be.

At Grange Primary Academy we have been celebrating the start of Black History Month by learning about how black people have shaped britains history from the earliest Cheddar Man found in 1903 who lived around 8000 BC through to Marcus Rashford campaigning for free school meals in recent years. Today all of the children attended a special assembly by the North Northants Safer Communities Team on diversity and how mutual respect and tollerance can help all all live safer and happier lives.
